Query strings (?utm_source=…) on the visitor's request are carried over to the target automatically unless the target already has its own query string, so campaign tracking survives. Matching ignores the query string and trailing slashes and is case-insensitive. Every time a rule fires its Hits counter increments and Last hit is updated – visible in the list and on the rule's edit page together with the creation date. Inactive rules are kept but never applied.
