Only partly. New-order notifications are genuinely live. The moment a new order comes in, the bell badge updates, the bell "rings" with a small animation, and — depending on your settings — a sound plays, a toast pops up, and/or a browser notification fires, all with no page reload needed.

In the current version, though, that live delivery only applies to new orders. Other notification types — texts, stock alerts, reviews, payment failures, subscription changes, other order-status changes, and proposal updates — are saved to your history the instant they happen, but they won't ring the bell, bump the badge, or show a toast in real time. You'll only see them once you reload the page or navigate somewhere new. In practice, this means the bell can under-count your unread items until your next page load.
