A member says their member coupon shows "This coupon is not valid". Why?
This coupon is not valid is shown when the coupon's Limit Per Membership Plan (or Limit Per User) does not match the customer using it. Check:
- The customer is logged in — guests have no membership plan.
- On the customer's profile the Membership Plan dropdown shows the same plan as the coupon. A customer can only be on one plan.
- If Limit Per User is also set, it must be this exact customer.
- If the customer is an account member buying through their account manager, the cart is for whichever person is selected — the plan check uses the selected member's profile, not the manager's.
Other coupon failures use different messages (e.g. only valid for first time purchases, only valid for checkouts min. …, can't be used with other coupons).
